Alleging that the proposed Telangana Ranabheri to be organized at Tandur in Rangareddy district on Friday is a conspiracy of the Congress and Telugu Desam Party leaders from Seemandhra regions, suspended TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Thursday said that the meeting is anything but a part of the push for a separate state.

Speaking to media persons on the Assembly premises, Mr Janardhan Reddy alleged that four MLAs of the TDP have come in the clutches of party president N Chandrababu Naidu and are blindly following his agenda. “This agenda is being dictated by the Seemandhra leaders,” the senior MLA stated.

Mr Janardhan Reddy further alleged that the Congress and TDP have conspired to jointly organize the Ranabheri under the aegis of Seemandhra leaders.

“The Ranabheri cannot be termed as part of the push for the separate Telangana state. It is a manifestation of the Seemandhra leaders’ agenda,” he stated.

“However, the people of Telangana will never believe Mr Naidu’s cheap tricks in the name of Telangana. If the TDP had responded positively and made efforts for Telangana without adopting an ambivalent attitude, the people of Telangana could have believed Mr Naidu,” Mr Janardhan Reddy further stated.

He appealed to Mr Naidu to change his ambivalent attitude on Telangana and announce a clear stand on the issue.

Condemning the government for deploying paramilitary forces for Ranabheri, Mr Janardhan Reddy said it was `unfortunate’ that event being organized under such security.

Meanwhile, the Osmania University Joint Action Committee has warned that it would obstruct the Ranabheri.

The OU JAC leaders said that Mr Naidu has no right to organize Ranabheri in Telangana until he makes his stand clear on the separate statehood demand.
