Call it a Ys Jaganmohan Reddy tsunami in Kadapa by-polls. He won the Parliamentary seat of Kadapa with a record majority of nearly 521000 votes making his opponents DL Ravindra Reddy (Congress) and Mysoora Reddy (TDP) to loose their deposits. More than 73% of the total polled votes went into YSR Congress Party’s candidate Jaganmohan Reddy.

Jagan is polled 655496 votes while DL Ravindra Reddy is polled 134496 and Mysoora Reddy is polled 128727 votes.  Although a majority for Jagan was expected but not this magnanimous scale. On the other side YS Vijaya Lakshmi (wife of YSR) won Pulivendula Assembly with a majority of 85191 votes on rival YS Vivekananda Reddy of Congress.
