Govt interference will hamper Trust's activities: Kishen Reddy

Doubting the state government’s capability to carry out the activities being performed by the Satya Sai Baba Central Trust, Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president G Kishen Reddy on Wednesday said that there is no need for it to take over the properties under the Trust’s care.

Talking to media persons at the party office in Nampally, Mr Kishen Reddy stated that the government would not be able to do justice to the works being undertaken by the Satya Sai Central Trust.

The Bjp leader stated that the philanthropic activities being undertaken by the Trust were on a massive scale and were being managed very efficiently. “If the state government takes over the properties of the Satya Sai Central Trust, these activities will suffer. Hence there is no need for the state government to interfere or to take over the properties,” Mr Kishen Reddy stated.

He also expressed confidence that Puttaparthi, where Sri Satya Sai Baba was laid to rest at Sai Kulwanth Hall on Wednesday, will emerge as international spiritual centre soon.

The Bjp president appealed to all sections of people to help and cooperate with the Satya Sai Central Trust to continue its philanthropic, educational and humanitarian services for needy people.

Mr Kishen Reddy added that people should not suspect the Trust members as they were appointed by Satya Sai Baba himself to look after its affairs.

The Bjp leader also appealed to devotees not believe rumours or believe speculations on the Sai Baba’s burial as he was laid to rest in the presence of lakhs of people.
