Rajanarsimha to hold YSV's portfolio

The state government on Saturday announced that Minister for Higher and Technical Education C Damodar Rajanarasimha will hold the additional Portfolio of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture Technology Mission.

The Portfolio was earlier held by the Congress candidate for the Pulivendula Assembly constituency YS Vivekananda Reddy. Mr Vivekananda Reddy had submitted his resignation from the state Cabinet after his term as a Member of the Legislative Council expired on March 29, 2011.

A communiqué, issued by Chief Secretary SV Prasad said that Governor ESL Narasimhan had accepted the resignation tendered by Mr Vivekananda Reddy from the rank of the Cabinet Minister as per GO Ms No182, dated April 16, 2011.

The Chief Secretary further stated that the Portfolio of Agriculture, Agriculture Technology Mission, earlier held by Mr Vivekananda Reddy was reallocated to Mr Rajanarasimha as per GO Ms No 183, dated April 16, 2011.
