Rail roko staged in Kadapa to make Jagan next CM

Kadapa, Sept 22: The loyalists’ of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Kadapa Member of Parliament Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday staged a rail roko at Railway Koduru in Kadapa district demanding to make Jaganmohan Reddy as next chief minister of the state.Staging the rail roko, they stopped Dadar-Chennai Express for more than half-an-hour at Railway Koduru.The loyalists demanded the high command to declare appointing Y S Jagan as next chief minister of the state immediately. They alleged that if the high command delays the leadership issue further, it would lead to upsurge of emotions.“We hope that the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting will be convened very soon as per the high command’s decision,’’ they said.Asked about the delay in taking a decision by the Congress leadership on the issue, the loyalists asserted that party chief Sonia Gandhi was fully aware of State politics. They hoped that her decision would be positive, and there was no need to precipitate things.
