Mahaboobnagar, Sept 22: The political uncertainty created by the sudden demise of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy affected the relief and rescue operations taken up in the rain-deficient areas, stated Bharatiya Janata Party state president Bhandaru Dattatreya.He came here to participate in the launching of membership drive and for conducting organizational elections to party wings.Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, he alleged that the Congress Ministers instead of finding ways to solve the problems of the people are engaged in playing ‘power politics.He demanded the state government to convene an all-party meet to review the relief and rescue operations taken up in the drought hit areas.He told the Ministers to focus on finding ways to keep soaring prices of essential commodities under control. He also appealed to the government to declare health emergency in the state as swine flu, dengue, chikungunya and viral fevers affecting the people.

He alleged that the Ministers and officials were spending much of their time in discussing leadership issue ignoring peoples’ problems.He alleged that the Opposition Telugu Desam Party has failed on all accounts to act as a constructive opposition.He said the BJP will launch agitation on peoples’ issues along with opposition parties.
