Telugu Desam Party MLA Devineni Umamaheswara Rao on Tuesday appealed to Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar to extend the Budget Session of Assembly, scheduled to be concluded today by one more week to discuss the people’s problems.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Mr Umamaheswara Rao the extension of the Budget Session of the Assembly was very much the need of the hour since the problems of the people were not discussed on the Floor. The TDP MLA stated that it was unfortunate that the Members spent most of the time of the House on leveling charges and counter charges against each other.

Mr Umamaheswara Rao appealed to Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar to extend the Session by one more week.

He also challenged the Congress MLAs who are considered loyalists of former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy that they should be ready for a debate on the allegations against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s amassing of wealth at any time or place of their choice. However, as a precursor to the discussion, the Jagan group MLAs must first get ready to discuss the allegations made against Mr Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr Umamaheswara Rao stated.

The TDP MLA also wondered for how long the Odarpu Yatra would continue, since “it was more than a year since it was launched.”
