TTDPF pleas CM to act on students' arrests

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday assured the Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum members that he would ensure that students who are appearing for public examinations are not arrested.

Responding to a memorandum submitted by the TTDPF members, the Chief Minister said that he would talk to the Director General of Police to look into the issue of illegal arrests of students.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, TDP MLA Venugopala Chary stated that the Chief Minister has promised to direct the DGP to ensure that students who are appearing for the ongoing public examinations are not arrested.

Earlier, the T TDP F members had called on the Chief Minister at his Chambers in the Assembly and submitted the memorandum. They urged Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy to act immediately and ensure that the students who are appearing for the public examinations are not detained since this would mean that their academic career is harmed.

The TTDPF members were led by the convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy. Party leaders Mahender Reddy and Revanth Reddy were also present.
