Chiru's darling lady calls it Congress Trap

Former Telugu Mahila president and once the best darling of Chiranjeevi in films, Roja stated that Praja Rajyam president K Chiranjeevi has lost confidence of people of the state by allying with the Congress. Talking to media persons, Roja stated that “It is shameful that Mr Chiranjeevi, who formed the party with a goal to achieve social justice is allying with the Congress whom he had fought against. The alliance will further lead him to neglect the people’s problems and their welfare.”

The firebrand actress-turned-politician said that Mr Chiranjeevi should have respected the people’s mandate and continued in the opposition. “He should have raised the people’s issues while remaining in the oppositions, but he had instead chosen to cheat the people and their faith in him,” she stated.

Ms Roja predicted that the “people of the state will teach a fitting lesson to Mr Chiranjeevi in the ensuing election since they have seen through his opportunist politics.” The former Telugu Mahila president alleged that the offer of an alliance clearly exposed uncertainty in the Congress and the stability of the N Kiran Kumar Reddy government.

She added that Mr Chiranjeevi has fallen into the trap of Congress party as it promised to offer some key posts to him. Stating that the PRP alliance with the Congress will not have any impact on Mr Jaganmohan Reddy’s yet to be formed party, the former actress expressed confidence that the Kadapa leader’s party would sweep the next elections.
