Chiru kept waiting for Sonia's audience

The proposed meeting between Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been postponed three times so far on Sunday.

According to latest indications which are emerging from the Congress circles here, the much-awaited meeting will now be held at 4 PM. There have been no official explanations given for the postponement of the crucial meeting.

Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held at 11 AM, but was postponed to 2 PM.

Mr Chiranjeevi is expected to meet the Congress president along with senior party leader C Ramachandraaiah.

The outcome of the crucial meeting will be disclosed before media persons at a briefing to be held at 6 PM, the sources said.

Mr Chiranjeevi is presently in New Delhi following an invitation from the Congress president.

The meeting is expected to thrash out the modalities and the offer which the Congress may extend to the PRP will enable Mr Chiranjeevi to go before his party leaders who will then decide if the smaller party will merge with the ruling party or join the government.
