Senior Congress leader from Telangana Kr Amos on Tuesday hailed the Congress party alliance with Praja Rajyam Party.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, the Telangana leader said that the Congress will strengthen its base in the Telangana and Seemandhra regions if PRP merges with the Congress party.

Reacting on some section of Congress leaders opposing the alliance with the PRP, Mr Amos said the leaders who do not want tie up with Mr Chiranjeevi, can resign to their posts and go out from the party.

“The party will not stop them,” he pointed out.

He also stated that the PRP leader was eagerly waiting for alliance with Congress party.

Condemning the attitude of Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao, he said the DGP was acting like a political leader and trying to suppress the Telangana agitation with force. Mr Amos charged that the DGP was diverting the attention of government by giving false reports on Telangana.

The senior leader stated that no one can stop the Telangana agitation until the formation of state, especially since the Telangana leaders are ready to sacrifice anything for the sake of a separate state.

Mr Amos demanded that Centre introduce Telangana Bill in the Budget Session of Parliament.
