Stating that there will be no delay in convening of second all party meeting, the Union Home Minister said the conclave will be held in February and its date will be announced within a week.

Mr Chidambaram added that enough time has been given by the government to political parties to come with an unanimous stand on the contentious separate statehood issue.

The Union Home Minister reminded that the Srikrishna Committee Report was given to political parties on January 6, and the elapsed time is sufficient enough for them to thoroughly study the Report and its recommendations.

Mr Chidambaram expressed the hope that all the eight recognised political parties will attend the second all-party conclave and not boycott it like the similar meeting called on January 6. He also hoped that the parties would give their valuable suggestions on the recommendations of Justice Srikrishna Committee Report.

He said the Centre will release Rs 16 crore for the construction a building for Detective Department in Hyderabad and Rs 300 crore from National Contingency Fund to take up relief operations in the state.
