Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will leave for New Delhi on Friday, according to an official statement.

Highly placed and reliable sources in the Congress party say that the Chief Minister is expected to enlighten the High Command about the grumblings in party circles about the alleged ‘interference’ in administrative affairs by Governor ESL Narasimhan.

Officially though, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy has been summoned by the Congress High Command to be part of a discussion on the Srikrishna Panel Report on Telangana.

The stay of the Chief Minister has been extended to Saturday and he would utilise this occasion to meet several Union Ministers to broach on the subjects related to his state.

The pending irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh will come up for discussion with the Minister concerned. 

Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy is also scheduled to participate in the Congress Core Committee Meeting in New Delhi, according to an official statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office.

According to sources, the Chief Minister is expected to discuss the demands of the state for more trains before the Railways Budget is prepared.
