Hyderabad, Sept 12 :
The Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Saturday stated that the government would take all measures to complete the pending irrigation projects launched by late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on priority basis.
Talking to media persons here, the Chief Minister said that the he had directed the officials concerned to concentrate on all the ongoing and pending projects, especially irrigation projects, launched by late chief minister.
For completion of pending irrigation projects, the state government would seek the assistance of Centre, he added. He said that the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh would lay foundation stone for the Rs 6,000 crore mega project to manufacture power plant equipment in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district on September 20.
NTPC-BHEL Power Projects Private Limited (NBPPL), a joint venture between National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), is setting up the project at Mannavarm village near the temple town of Srikalahasti. The Prime Minister will also offer prayers to Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala.
