In a clear indication that he means business, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy sent clear signals to all concerned by disposing off two files giving top priority, one related to Arogyasri and another file of Primary Health Centres.  

Soon after occupying his seat, amidst chants by the Purohits, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 144 crore for Arogyasri programme. He has also signed another file sanctioning Rs 95 crore for Primary Health Centres in the state. Later, KKR also expressed his wishes for the beneficiaries of the YSR's pet programme - Arogyasri.

KKR had arrived at the Secretariat at 9:25 AM, entered the C Block after performing puja at Pochamma temple near the A Block main gate.

The Chief Minister then proceeded to occupy his Chambers in the sixth floor of the C Block in the Secretariat at 9.52 am as per muhurtham fixed by the pundits.

KKR’s predecessors late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and K Rosaiah too functioned from the C Block, albeit from different floors of the building. The Chambers was decked up to greet the latest occupant.

The Chief Minister was greeted by his Colleagues Sabitha Indra Reddy, Danam Nagender, Pithani Satyanarayana and J Geetha Reddy.

Principal Secretary J Satyanarayana and other secretaries in his Peshi also congratulated the Chief Minister.

Also present were MLAs, Chief Secretary SV Prasad, among others. The Secretariat Employees leader Hanumatha Reddy welcomed the Chief Minister and assured that the staff would extend full cooperation and work with dedication.

Thereafter, he left for Raj Bhavan for the Ministers' swearing-in ceremony
