Talking to media persons in the National Capital, Mr Sambhasiva Rao stated, “It is sad that Telangana MP K Kesava Rao wrongly interpreted my statement on rehabilitation of tribals. It is not suitable for such a senior CWC member to link caste and community to the discussion on Polavaram Irrigation Project during MPs meeting in New Delhi.”

In the name of tribal and minority welfare, the Telangana leader is resorting to blackmailing tactics and politicizing the issue for getting mileage, Mr Sambhasiva Rao alleged.

He reminded that KK, in his entire political career, never took any steps for welfare of tribals and minorities but was now raising his voice on their welfare and politicizing the issue for getting mileage.

“In the meeting I did not made not any unsavoury remarks against tribals. I only narrated how the rehabilitation package announced for the tribals of Kolleru lake changed their lives,” Mr Sambhasiva Rao pointed out. The Kolleru lake extends from West Godavari to Krishna districts.

“There is no question of my apologizing to anybody as I have not made any untoward remarks against tribals in the meeting,” he made it clear.
