How India can save Chicken Neck and become strong. The escalated tensions between India and Pakistan once again brought into discussion another important strategic point regarding India's security and that is Chicken Neck.

It is known that China is known for its expansionist attitude and is trying to suffocate India by strategic tie-ups in Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Srilanka and other countries. With all these countries poor, China is offering them money and in return installing its defence equipment like radar and other surveillance warfare to target India.

When Bangladesh had change of regime with India hater Yosuf becoming the President, he shocked all saying; Bangladesh can block entire seven North Eastern seven states. During his visit to China, he said “The seven states of India, the eastern part of India, are called the seven sisters (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura). They are a landlocked region of India. They have no way to reach out to the ocean, ”His bold talk is not without substance. He is emboldened by the support of China and the strategic point Chicken Neck.

Once enemies cut off Chicken Neck, India's contacts with the North East states will be cutoff. Chicken Neck is the strategic Silguri corridor which connects West Bengal with North East states Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

India deployed military assets like squadron of Rafale fighter jets at Hashimara Airbase, alongside MiG aircraft, regiment of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles has been deployed in the corridor to deter potential threats, stationed the S-400 missile system in the region to prevent any aerial incursions, MRSAM and Akash air defence systems and Trishakti Corps frequently conducts combat exercises, including live-fire drills with T-90 tanks, to enhance operational readiness.

Defence Experts are suggesting Immediate Action strategically to strengthen Chicken Neck

1. Annex Rangapur district, which is north east of Bangladesh into our country. Even annex Chittagong from Bangladesh and expand North Eastern states till Bay of Bengal.

If India doesn't wake up to the clear and present danger it is difficult for them in future as China is trying to takeover all the seven states.

Younus already gave permission to China to establish its air station at Lalmonirhat in Bangladesh and Bangladesh is also planning to conduct joint military operations with Pakistan near Chicken Neck region.

Defence experts say that India shouldn't leave Chicken Neck as its weak point strategically and expand Meghalaya into Greater Meghalaya by acquiring Rangpur district from Bangladesh. The 2400sft Rangpur district will expand Chicken Neck into a corridor.

If Indian army acts decisively now, China which is in tariff war with USA will not intervene. This will enable India to expand 22 KM Chicken Neck into 100km and integrate with roads and highways and railways.

2. If Chittagong is annexed India can have a seacoast till Bay of Bengal. Yunus is turning arrogant saying India is not having seacoast and they can control the Bay of Bengal. Chittagong is far away from Bangladesh and it is surrounded by Triupra, Burma and Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal is just 13 KM from Chittagong. By entering into 15 km, Indian army can annex Chittagong into the country. Defence experts are strongly advocating it. They are saying India should acquire Chittagong and turn it into Union Territory before making it a part of Tripura.

Even during the 1947 partition, Chittagong did not show interest in being part of Pakistan and the people of Chittagong share good relations with Tripura. India can develop Chittagong port and use for commercial purposes and even need not be scared of tiny but arrogant Bangladesh in future.

But will India which never waged war first on its own will take this important decision and even if India attacks, will Pakistan and China keep quiet and how will other nations react ,as India is unable to take over POK till now. Defence experts warn against comparing both the topics.

They point out how Israel slowly acquired Palestine and how India slowly made Sikkim part of India. They say, US and Russia will support India if it takes decisive action and it all depends on the will of the government. Defence experts say India can complete operation Chittagong in one day and Operation Rangur in just three days.

Whatever happens, over the last few days, RAW which played key role in the formation of Bangladesh in 1971 and the North East states governors and Lt governors are in secret meeting and something is going to happen in the near future as India has taken Yunus words very seriously.
