Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday stated that the state government is considering a proposal by the Director General of Police to employ the services of retired Special Commandos and Ex-Servicemen.

Speaking to media persons after inaugurating the new building of the Maddannapet Police Station, Ms Indra Reddy stated that policemen should strive earnestly to fulfill their responsibilities of helping, protecting and maintaining peace. She reminded the police officials that this is expected from them by the people.

The Home Minister added that better infrastructure and facilities would be provided to all the police station in the state. She added that renovations of the police stations are necessary to provide better facilities for the police personnel.

Later, she assured that women counseling centers and Cyber Crime Stations will be opened in all parts of the State soon. The Home Minister also revealed that the government has put the demands of 6,500 police vehicles under consideration.
