The Principal Secretary and Dgp convened a meeting with Collector Mukesh Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police Ch Srikanth and other officials to take the stock of situation on the chopper crash.

According to the reliable sources, the copter was believed to have hit a row of trees before crashing in the Nallamala hills. A moderate blast occurred only after the chopper hit the trees as the first tree was chopped off on top and the second tree in the trunk by the rotor blades of the copter.

An examination of the crash site revealed that a mid-air blast was ruled out as the entire wreckage and the bodies lay within a 50 metres radius. The bodies were crushed and not blown to pieces.

The helicopter was headed from North to South direction and skidded off to the East after hitting the trees. The fuel tank caught fire only after hitting the ground causing a minor blast.

The CID officials recovered three mobile phones, a watch and other personal belongings from the spot. Meanwhile, the inquiry team of the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), headed by R K Tyagi investigating the crash from different angles.
