Talking to media persons after meeting Chief Minister K Rosaiah at the Secretariat to raise the problems faced by the people of Vijayawada, his Constituency, Mr Rajagopal said that there was no political importance to the meeting. Mr Rajagopal said that he had come to meet the Chief Minister only to raise his constituency’s problems.

He hoped that the Sri Krishna Commission would submit a favourable report on the situation in the state respecting the sentiments of all people.

“In the epic Mahabharata, Lord Srikrishna also failed in his attempts to bring peace between Kauravas and Pandavas in his capacity as an ambassador. However, the Srikrishna Commission will submit a report which would respect the sentiments of all people,” he hoped.

Reacting on the Osmania University Joint Action Committee imposing restrictions on the visit of Seemandhra leaders to Telangana districts, he said, “as young leaders they will issue many angry statements. However, they will know after a certain age that only dialogue can solve all problems.”

He called upon all people and religious leaders to maintain peace and restraint in the wake of Allahabad High Court set to deliver its verdict on the Babri Masjid title suit on September 24.
