Chief Minister Dr. K. Rosaiah has said that the concentration of his Government will be on ensuring an effective foolproof delivery of all the welfare schemes to the poorest of the poor so that they are not denied any benefits forthwith.

The Chief Minister has asserted that his Government’s focus would be on to continue and strengthen financial discipline and planned mobilisation of resources in the most efficient manner to see that ultimately poor are benefited Rosaiah was firm on implementation of all the welfare programmes launched by former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy claiming “My mission is to not only to keep up the tempo of development activities, but to ensure that none of the welfare programs taken up by YSR suffers setback for want of funds".

Rosaiah recalled the “gigantic responsibility” that was cast upon him as the Chief Minister of one of the fastest developing States that entailed continuation of the legacy of the most dynamic leader Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who had initiated a number of welfare and unique programmes particularly for the poor, low income and common people of the State.

He said “I am duty-bound to continue all the programmes launched by Dr Rajasekhara Reddy and deliver the goods. The State had experienced several natural calamities -drought and floods – in addition to agitations since then. But the perseverance of the people and their cooperation to the Government saw to it that the Government effectively faces these challenges,”.

 The Chief Minister who completed one year in office thanked the people and all those who guided him and cooperated with him in the most demanding months of his life.

He added that he have no words to express my gratitude to the people of Andhra Pradesh for this.

The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh is now on the fast track of tremendous growth. The State expects record agricultural production of more than 208 lakh tonnes this year, with the recent launching of the largest PSU, the Mannavaram Power Plant Equipment Manufacturing Project and Tirupati International Airport etc.

 He further added that the State is set on the road for rapid development of infrastructure. With the awarding of Hyderabad Metro Rail Transport to L&T and other projects, Andhra Pradesh will find a pride of place in the global map.
