Later a memorial programme would be observed, he said.

The PCC chief stated that a photo exhibition on the life history of the former chief minister would be inaugurated at Gandhi Bhavan and added that Chief Minister K Rosaiah, Cabinet Ministers, MPs and MLAs would participate in the programme.

Mr Srinivas appealed to district leaders and workers to observe the anniversary in all districts. He appealed to district leaders to pay tributes which the great leader deserved.

Reacting on the allegations leveled by some leaders against implementation of schemes initiated by the late YSR, the PCC chief said that these remarks were their personal opinion and in no way reflected the Congress party’s stance.

He added that the image of the former chief minister cannot be tarnished by the remarks of some leaders.

Mr Srinivas said the government would continue all YSR schemes launched for the benefit of poor and middleclass in letter and spirit.
