Asha Bhosle in Top 20 Global Music Icons

Asha Bhosle fits rightly into the Legendary group of Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones and others who are in a new list of top twenty music icons of the past 50 years by CNN. This news network mentioned Asha Bhosle as the queen of playback singing, having recorded over 10,000 songs for more than 800 movies with a career that has span of six decades.

This 76 year old brightest star began her career in playback singing in the shadow of her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar, first gained popularity with 'Naya Daur' in 1957. Asha has given some of the greatest hits with her music composer husband RD Burman.
