Happy Birthday To Angry Star Rajasekhar

Rajasekhar who was referred as an 'Angry Young Man' in 90's had a huge craze among youth and family audiences. His more than a three decade career comprises over eighty plus films. He was started as a small actor and then turned into doing negative roles. His Talambralu costarring his wife Jeevitha was a turning point in his career. He won Nandi Award for best villain for that film. The after doing varied roles, Ankusham in 1989 has taken his career to a whole new level. It brought him mass, action hero image. It is from this film only he is being called as 'Angry Young Man'. His powerful performance in the role of a police officer inspired many such stories.

After Ankusham he is considered as one of the stars and his films started doing good business and earned good numbers at the boxoffice. Once again in 1993, Rajasekhar scored a huge blockbuster with Allari Priyudu. But, this time with a musical lovestory. It has completely changed his action image and brings him closer to family audiences. Since then he banced his career with both action and family dramas. Good example for his choice of multiple genre scripts is his success in the year 1998. He has scored two Superhits in that year Suryudu, which is a family drama and another one is Shivayya, a high voltage social film. 

Rajasekhar with time to time has changed his career chosing more matured roles. By 2000's he turned into playing middle aged roles and scored successes. Maa Annayya, Manasunna Maaraju and Simaharasi are such films. After the success of Evadaite Nakenti and Gorintaku, he faced failures in his career. When he is ruled off as a hero he surprised everyone with the success of PSC Garudavega where he played a special police officer. His recent film Shekar also brings accolades for his performance in his wife Jeevitha 's direction. His daughters Shivathmika and Shivani turned into actresses.
