National Film Awards presented lavishly

The 68th National Film Awards were announced in July and fans got excited when their stars won the best actor and actress award at the national level. It is known that Suriya won the best actor award for his performance in Soorarai Pottru and he shared it along with Ajay Devan for his patriotic entertainer Tanhaji.

The awards were presented in a lavish manner in the country's capital city Delhi. The event was organized at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu presented the prestigious awards to the winners. Asha Parekh was hounoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

A cash prize of Rs 50,000 each will be awarded to the winners in the supporting and lead actor categories. Rs 250,000 will be awarded to the producers and director of the Best Feature Film winner.
