Bollywood star diva Alia Bhatt has tested positive for Coronavirus. The news was confirmed by the actress herself on her Insta story which reads, "Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors." Alia also thanked concerned fans in her post, adding: "Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care."

Last month, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali whose directing Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia tested positive for Covid. The film got delayed owing to the incident.  Later Alia’s boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor also contracted the virus, wherein Alia informed her fans that she underwent the test and has been negative. Ironically days after RANbir recovered, now Alia has contracted the virus.

A few Bollywood stars who have contracted the virus in recent times are Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay LeelaBhansali, Tara Sutaria, Madhavan. On the work front, Alia is a busy bee who has big projects in her kitty. She has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, then  Gangubai Kathiawadi  which will clash at the box-office with Prabhas’ starrer Radhe Shyam, then she has most talked about RRR under Rajamouli’s direction. 

Alia was supposed to join the sets of RRR in the month of April. But with the actress testing positive for Covid, RRR team has got a joltas the shoot may get delayed. Now it is to be seen if RRR will get released on the mentioned date or not i.e October 13.
