Puri was paid Rs 7 cr for Balayya's flick

Bellamkonda Suresh, who announced the launch of a film with Balakrishna in the debut combination of Puri Jagannath, had agreed to a whopping remuneration to the director. With Balakrishna accepting to arrange dates, Bellamkonda Suresh hurriedly announced that the film would be in the rare combination of Puri Jagannath.

The latter, expressed his inability to provide a story that could match the image of Balakrishna and sought some time. But, Suresh insisted to work for day and night and prepare a good script and offered him a handsome remuneration of Rs 7 crore, that too in a single payment.

Puri Jagannath is known for bringing out mass subjects and most of his films with mass subjects were big hits. One had to wait and watch whether Puri Jagannath or Dasari Narayana Rao would bag a hit with Balakrishna as both their films were announced simultaneously.
