Super Star Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 directed by Shankar is attracting all with stunning visuals. Even as movie lovers are enjoying the grandiose in 2.0, the makers got a huge shock when protests hit the theatres screening the film in Karnataka.
Several Kannada fringe groups who formed a JAC started protesting against release of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 in Karnataka. They have been expressing their anger on other language films dominating Kannda films. The groups targeted Rajinikanth’s 2.0 to drive home their message to the influential few by gaining media attention.
Despite these protests, 2.0 is doing well in Karnataka raking in good profits. Shankar with the sci-fi thriller tried to give strong message to the society about the excess usage of mobile phones and the ill effects of the radiations generated by the cell towers.
