Rightfully, A.r Rahman had made his mark in the global music. Today, another award from the International Film Music Critics Association  (IFMCA) glorifies India’s only Oscar awardee for music A.r Rahman. The IFMCA nominates Rahman for best score for Hollywood comedy Couples Retreat along with James Newton Howard, Marvin Hamlisch, Alexandre Desplat (Julie & Julia) and Debbie Wiseman (Lesbian Vampire Killers).IMFCA will announce the winners at its Sixth Annual Awards on February 26.

Founded by Mikael Carlsson, it is an association of online, print and radio journalists who specialize in writing about original film and television music.Rahman’s Na Na song from Couples Retreat was shortlisted for nomination at the 82nd Academy Awards, where it will be competing with 62 other songs from eligible feature films. Couples Retreat is a humorous flick with its four couples reaching an island resort on a vacation. The film stars MTV winner Vince Vaughn, Golden Globe winner Jason Bateman and Kristin Davis.
