Mani Ratnam's Darling: Who Is She?

Creative genius Mani Ratnam is a restless human being. He continues to strive in surpassing the exquisite standards set by himself for each film. ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ from Mani and AR Rahman had its Telugu version ‘Cheliyaa’ audio released the other day in Hyderabad with Karthi, Aditi Rai Hydari attended the event.

Surprise element wrt ‘Cheliyaa’ audio was Mani Ratnam got his entire speech addressed in pure Telugu language without using Tamil words. 

‘Everytime when I come to Hyderabad for my film functions, I think of speaking in Telugu. This time I got my Telugu tutor, my Cheliyaa (Darling) and my Bangaram (showing a hand at Suhasini) to preapre by Telugu speech,’ said Mani Ratnam before thanking Telugu audience for being so supportive.      

In a sharp Suhasini retort, ‘though I am not his (Mani Ratnam) Cheliyaa… surely this film will become the darling of Telugu hearts. I haven’t seen a girl like Aditi Rao Hydari in my entire life who is performing on so high standards at the just age of 20.’
