Krishna Shines As Modern Sri Sri

Drawing inspiration from revolutionary writer Srirangam Srinivasa Rao, here is the title of Super Star Krishna’s new movie ‘Sri Sri’ graced today in theaters. Krishna here is Dr. Sripada Srinivasa Rao, a Professor in Law. He fights against anti social elements in society taking revenge against his daughter’s murder committed by two villains (Posani, Murali Sharma). Cruel antagonists in the story run an illegal Pharmaceutical Company making clinical trials on innocent people and are also into mining mafia. Krishna’s daughter shoots these illegal businesses in a sting operation and in turn loses her life. How Krishna with help of ACP (Naresh) completes the revenge is rest.

Krishna hasn’t lost the will power to act but age factor was clearly visible on his face with wrinkles on skin and a physically unfit body. Krishna was feeling hard to walk or stand properly. So, director Muppalaneni Shiva made his hero to sit in many of the scenes. Conflict between Vijaya Nirmala and Naresh was well established. Beyond all these, ‘Sri Sri’ is based on age old revenge concept and Muppalaneni Shiva got an outdated direction style.

If Krishna Fans are dying to see their hero on screen, they can give a try else ‘Sri Sri’ no where stands a threat for yesterday’s release. One point for sure is, Krishna is forever a Super Star for us. There’s no necessity for him to experiment with films at this age undergoing lots of physical stress. There’s no use in it because Mahesh Babu is taking the legacy forward. Anyways, ‘Sri Sri’ also has Mahesh Babu’s voice-over and Sudheer Babu’s cameo which can be seen as an ode of respect to Krishna.
