When Puri Rejected Chota Cheque!

Every successful person in film industry will have a memorable flashback. After tasting enough victories and earned name, fame, money; whenever those memories are re-winded, it gives immense happiness. Top cameraman Chota K Naidu narrated one such episode wherein director Puri Jagannath rejected a fancy offer from his side.

Chota is a senior most cameraman who has an eye to spot on the right talents. ‘Actually, we wanted Puri to direct a serial on our production house. I forwarded a cheque to Puri and asked him to meet me. On the same day when I came back home by evening, the same cheque was lying on my table with a letter attached. Puri openly wrote in letter that he cannot do justice for story or script locked for this serial. He apologized for rejecting the offer and felt sorry while returning the cheque,’ Chota K Naidu recollects.

It was the same Chota who forwarded ‘Badri’ story to Pawan Kalyan on behalf of Puri and helped in closing the deal. Later Chota handed over Puri a cheque forwarded by producer Trivikarama Rao as remuneration for working on ‘Badri.’ This is 'Kismat Ka Khel.'
