Historical Movie with Fiction Sequel

The historical connection between Chola and Pandya Kingdoms in the past is made with contemporary touch as ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’ in direction of hardworking and a visionary Selva Raghava. The original was made in Tamil as ‘Aayarathil Oruvaan’ with Karthi as hero, Andrea, Reema Sen as heroines. The movie was run a way hit in Tamil and in Telugu, it had a decent run. After the flop ‘Varna’ in all the languages, Selva has gone into hibernation without finalizing his next movie.

‘No, I am not on a break. I am busy with script work of new movie which would start in next year which is a sequel to ‘Aayarathil Oruvaan.’ No, I do not know whether Karthi will be hero in sequel or not and even I am unsure on whether I can make this as 3D or not. But, both these are in my options.  As I always wanted to stand different and away from films coming these days, I have to either make a comedy film or something different in this way,’ Selva replied.
