Pregnancy Was a Challenge for Nayan

The recently released trailer of ‘Anamika,’ made by Sekhar Kammula with adopted screenplay of super hit Hindi movie ‘Kahaani’ is making many of us shocked to see heroine Nayanathara without a pregnancy bump unlike Vidya Balan was seen as a carrying lady in Hindi version. When Sekhar was asked by a media friend on why he did that, the reply was in fact about a challenge made much tougher to heroine Nayan.

‘Women whether pregnant or not are equally susceptible. It is a matter for individual’s perception. Anyways, the basic story is the same of a woman searching for her missing husband without any help from the system. To say it more clearly, Nayan had a bigger challenge than Vidya because it was easier for Vidya to earn the sympathy from the audience for a pregnant character but Nayan required extra efforts to gain the same sympathy without pregnancy. She had done a great job,’ Sekhar stated.
