Again the same issue of “Arya 2”, that is lyrics of the song “Ringa Ringa”. Film critics, Telugu movie viewers associations, political party leaders are targeting the total Telugu movie industry’s values and for that matter whole Indian film industry’s values and ethics.

All the regional channels are organizing debates on the loss of moral values, increase in double meaning lyrics and the changing trends in film making. Few film personalities have targeted the failure of censor board in controlling the increase of double standard literature and double standard dialogues in the movies.

But a censor board officer, Mr. Vijay Kumar Reddy on speaking to a channel is said that, this is all part of the movies. If film personalities target the dances of Amitabh with daughter-in-law Aishwarya for a spicy song and literature in the song, Censor board members are trying for an escape with the trend set by senior actors like NTR, ANR and Krishna and the double meaning spicy songs which were given U certificates during those times.

Songs like “O Appa rao, O Subba Rao…angatlo anni unnaayi”, “Masaka Maska Cheekatilo…”, “Le Le Le Na raja…”, the movies with these songs with enormous exposing from Jayamalini, Silk Smitha, Jyothi Laxmi and others were given clean U certificates…

Could anybody answer the ongoing trend and about the norms that are in place for certification of films. Is there any such mechanism which can really save our culture and heritage?
