While everyone expected Karan Johar and Ritesh Batra’s ‘The Lunchbox’ to find a safe route to Oscars Entry from India in Best Foreign Film Category, most surprisingly ‘The Good Road’ is given the final nod. This is a Gujarati film which has been chosen as India’s official entry to 2014 Oscars. In fact, this film was a dark horse with none of the media men signifying the importance of this critically acclaimed love story which deals about two children lost in the Kutch desert, written and directed by debutant Gyan Correa.

‘I have no clue how we are going to go ahead with it. I have no experience with this. I guess me and my producers will sit down and talk about it. If we win, it would be great. If not, we live another day,’ Gyan Coreea said to a top news agency. However, there is a lot of discontent poured in on social networking platforms on 16 member jury lacking the creative sense for neglecting a great movie like ‘The Lunchbox.’
