Thunderous Response to 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya'

Prabhuteja's directorial venture 'Ramaiya Vstavaiya' was released 19th July and received with a warm response and encouraging feedback, having garnered over 15.30 crores at the box office over the weekend.

Acclaimed critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted,  “Ramaiya Vastavaiya has performed very well at mass-dominated circuits/single screens mainly. The business at several centres witnessed an upward trend. Collected approx Rs 15.30 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup:- Fri 4.10 cr, Sat 4.70 cr, Sun *est* 6.50 cr”

Also, Taran Adarsh threw shower praises on the actor Girish Kumar. He tweeted,  “Ramaiya Vastavaiya is the launch vehicle for Girish Kumar and the actor gets the opportunity to sing, dance, fight, emote, display varied emotions... he's photogenic and goes through the rigmarole with confidence. Whether it his introductory sequence [surfing in the sea] or breaking into a dance, whether he's exposing his chiseled physique or wearing desi outfits, whether he's asked to look innocent or flirtatious, Girish gets it right.”

Another trade guru Komal Nahata said, “ Ramaiya Vastavaiya is very entertaining, strong emotional undercurrent, hit music and lovely twists and turns. Collections at Roopbani Purnea for Ramaiya Vastavaiya match YJHD for the weekend....no difference at all...huge for a Ramzaan weekend”.
