CBFC’s decision of not to allow ‘A’ rated films for re-certification to telecast on TV channels or in simple, ban on Censor ‘A’ certificate flicks from TV screening has got severe opposition from film makers across the country. While this was seen as the effect of ‘The Dirty Picture,’ producers are questioning on how can movies with some romantic or kiss scenes here and there should bear the brunt of pure Adult films?

Information & Broadcasting Ministry is determined to resolve the deadlock by requesting the Censor Board to continue with their old formula for small screen rather making most of the Indian films ineligible for TV viewing. Until suitable amendments will be made to Cable Television Act, we may have the chance of enjoying even most controversial flicks like ‘The Dirty Picture’ on small screen. So, Producers can feel some respite.
