Producers crave for different forms of promotion. The old and conventional method is Poster Publicity which all the cinemas will follow. Instead of wasting money on innovative methods, film maker who has got the Tamil dubbing rights of Telugu flop film ‘Oh My Friend’ started to think differently with publicity posters made of 30 sheets.
‘For any film, may be of Rajinikanth or Shah Rukh Khan, the max we have got in usage is 24 sheet posters. For the first time in country, I am using 30 sheets for this film titled as ‘Sridhar.’ This will be a tribute to veteran director Sridhar,’ said Satish, the producer. Having known the quality of harvest, producer Dil Raju and director Venu Sri Ram has given for ‘Oh My Friend,’ Telugu audience are laughing at 30 sheets poster publicity saying, ‘Aaripoye Deepaaniki Velugu Ekkuva.’ Well, makers should know that posters need not be big...what matters is output needs to be big.
