Master piece ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ completed 50 days and the celebrations will be held here in Hyderabad on Thursday. The film with all its technical superiority and directional agility, visual richness and musical treat could not get into the hearts of youth and did not reach the desired figure, when seen from collections wise.

Youth is not inclined towards mythological subjects but is attracted towards action, romance and comedy is the general notion. Producer Sai Babu has dared to put in his currency in a venture which has run out of time. It yielded him a good name, if not profits.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, was not accepted as Lord Rama by a majority section of connoisseurs and his role being limited has angered the fans. This could be one reason for the film going flat on the lines of expectations. Nayanatara, despite getting good response failed to impress the expert eye, as she never looked like a mother of two in the whole film and her moments were a shade too fast than what the character demands. ANR, in his ripe age could not impress much though his stardom had created some magnetic touch to the role. Ilayaraja and Bapu have done a good work but the backroom boys have their own limitations.

Good news is ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ completed 50 days in 49 centres and the Victory celebrations will be held at Shilpakala Vedika with a string of celebrities in attendance to boost the morale of unit.
