The mini Super Star of Tamil cinema is Simbu. His recent release ‘Vaanam’ (remake to Telugu ‘Vedam’) is making political outfits like BJP to fire on director and producer. Party members said that ‘Vanam’ showcases Hindus in a bad light. They objected to a particular scene in which a Hindu leader forces a young couple (Bharath and Vega) to tie the knot. More over BJP members indulged in the act of tearing posters of ‘Vanam’ and put a garland of slippers for a cut out of Simbu.

This angered the Fans of Simbu raising big protest opposite to BJP’s office in Chennai. Simbu’s father T. Rajender took the side of Fans while director Krish and producer Dayanidhi Alagiri are served legal notices by BJP.
