Caste politics for Anushka's film

Tollywood is lucky that people around us fight for quality of content but not for caste. Kollywood is facing a non sense problem related to Vikram and Anushka’s new film ‘Deiva Thirumagan.’ This flick is caught in the controversy with ‘Thevar’ caste head honchos forcing the producer and director to change the title of film. Reason for this is that ‘Deiva Thirmugana’ derogates their late leader and god ‘Pasupathi Muthuramalinga Thevar’ who is also called as ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ in their community.

As Shiva Sena men of Chennai extended their support to Thevars by meeting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi and requesting him to interfere in this issue and ban the film. Argument is that demeaning their god cannot be tolerated. Well, let us see when this film will release as Telugu version is also lying under post production works.
