Srikanth Odela Reveals Ram Charan Emotional Gift

Director Srikanth Odela has opened up about the story behind the Hanuman locket he regularly wears. The keepsake has a special connection to Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi, as it was originally associated with Charan’s look in the acclaimed Telugu film Rangasthalam.

During a conversation with actor Raghav Juyal, Srikanth explained that Chiranjeevi had reportedly ordered two identical lockets in Chennai. One remained with Chiranjeevi, while the other was used by Ram Charan during Rangasthalam, where Srikanth worked as an assistant director and costume department member.

Srikanth recalled that Ram Charan called him into his caravan on the final day of Rangasthalam’s shoot. Without offering a detailed explanation, Charan removed the Hanuman locket and handed it to him, asking him to keep it. Srikanth said the unexpected gesture left him deeply emotional.

The director continues to wear the locket as a cherished reminder of that moment. Srikanth later met Ram Charan and asked whether he remembered the incident, with the actor reportedly acknowledging the gift. After making his directorial debut with Dasara, Srikanth is now helming Nani’s The Paradise.
