Sony LIV Bags Chennai Love Story Digital And Satellite Rights

Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired the digital and satellite rights to Telugu romantic drama Chennai Love Story. The film will stream exclusively on Sony LIV after its theatrical run. The deal was announced following a strong opening weekend at the box office.
Released on July 24, the movie has crossed close to ₹50 crore gross worldwide. New pair Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya received praise for their natural chemistry. Audiences connected with its fresh take on first love and relatable emotional moments. The streaming window will be around the last week of August.
Directed by Ravi Namburi and written by Sai Rajesh Neelam, the film explores young love with humor and heartbreak. Produced by SKN and Sai Rajesh under Amrutha Productions and Mass Movie Makers, it blends music, romance, and slice-of-life storytelling.
Producer SKN said the theatrical response was overwhelming and the Sony LIV partnership will expand reach. Sony LIV has been growing its South Indian slate. Official Premiere dates for digital and TV will be revealed soon as the film continues its theatrical run.
