Expectations are high on the project as Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni earlier came up with an action entertainer Veera Simha Reddy.Apart from it, Balakrishna is also starring in the direction of Koratala Shiva. The project is referred to NBK112 and expectations are increasing on it. Speculation is increasing on the film's title and the name of Carpenter is doing rounds. The makers feel that this is the apt title for the film which is high on emotions and action elements and strong message to the society.The film is expected to go to sets from August and the makers will kickstart with an action sequence on Balakrishna. However later the introduction of characters slowed the pace of the narration. But the twists and turns involving the lead character and others and the negative shades increases the curiosity levels. The police investigation and others in the first half brings and end setting the tone for the exciting second half.However, the second half goes for a toss with the hero kidnap scene and various sub plots. While the first half is natural, the second half had shades of artificiality and illogical scenes. The story offered nothing new as many films came in the recent past highlighting the power of God and how ultimately he eliminates the evil forces who try to wreak havoc to posses the supreme powers.Films like Mirai and Hanuman turned out to be hits and of late many filmmakers are trying to milk people's interest in Sanatana Dharma and the secrets with dialogues pertaining to them but most of them are failing in their mission. If mythological and elements on God in a story comes naturally then it will connect chords with the people. However, all the so called Sanatana elements are forced and this ends up testing the patience of the viewers.Nagabandham also fell in the second category unfortunately. There is no clarity how the hero became the protector of the all powerful Brahma Kamalam right from the first half. The film lacked the drive and direction and it drifted in various directions and the screenplay turned out to be topsy turvy. Emotions play a key role in the films and the film lacked them completely. Only when emotions are strong and realistic, natural, it will help in taking forward the drama or action sequences.With emotions missing , the scenes come and go one after another and viewers are left wondering what was happening. The extreme violence in the marriage looked totally unnecessary and unwanted except for the gory scenes which the director felt would have made an impact on the viewers emotionally.Though the first half had no story, visuals are extravagant and the interval bang covered all the loopholes setting the stage for the second half. However the second half turned out to be extremely slow and all the characters turned unnecessarily loud shouting at the top of their voices. It increases with the passage of time and reaches its peak in the second half. The interval comes as a break from this torture. The story lacks basic emotions and everything looks artificial.Everyone passes through the motions and the director's cheap taste is revealed when he showed the rape scene in detail even though it was shown initially.
