Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma Crosses ₹100 Cr Pre-Release Business

Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming mythological thriller Vrushakarma has crossed ₹100 crore in pre-release business. Directed by Karthik Dandu and written by Sukumar, the film is produced by BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. Trade circles are calling it Chaitanya’s career-best deal.
The project has reportedly locked a ₹50 crore-plus deal for digital and satellite rights. Despite a slow non-theatrical market, OTT platforms and TV channels paid a premium citing Sukumar’s track record and Chaitanya’s pan-India appeal. The buzz suggests strong content and visual scale drove the valuation.
Sukumar’s screenplay, known for Pushpa and Rangasthalam, adds major market weight. Chaitanya plays a treasure hunter opposite Meenakshi Chaudhary. Multiple schedules shot across India are complete. Makers are planning practical sets and VFX-heavy action to match the mythological adventure tone.
Theatrical rights are also seeing strong demand across Telugu states and overseas. With a December 2026 release targeted, trade expects Vrushakarma to become one of Chaitanya’s biggest commercial ventures. If buzz converts, it could enter the top league of 2026 Telugu releases.
