Yes, Don Maddelacheruvu Suri who was shot dead two days ago is a die hard lover of Telugu films and at one moment he dreamed to become a Hero in Telugu films. To fulfill his dream, Suri has exposed a major flow of funds from the local underworld to the struggling Telugu film industry.

Suri’s wealth assimilated to a worth Rs.300 Crores was a major provider of funds for producers of several Tollywood films that released in the last few months and a few big ones that are slated to hit the theatres in the coming weeks.

Producers C. Kalyan, Singanamala Ramesh Babu, Chinna Vasudeva Reddy and Raj Kumar are the primary names who had close links with Suri. Obviously Komaram Puli, Khaleja, Parama Veera Chakra, Raktha Charitra (1 & 2) and one more film starring ANR, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya are the projects which were produced with money from Suri.  

Suri was the major financier else how can C. Kalyan and Singanamala make movies that require about Rs.100 Crores in a year. In fact Suri was on his way to meet C. Kalyan, the day he was killed. Unable to clear the debts, Singanamala Ramesh promised Suri the rights of his properties in Hyderabad and Bangalore, say media reports.
