Chiranjeevi missed Basha due to Allu Aravind. Movie lovers cannot forget the film Basha. Super Star Rajinikanth scored a sensational hit with Basha. The film starred Nagma in the lead role with Raghuvaran playing the powerful antagonist under the direction of Suresh Krishna.
The film was supposed to be made with Chiranjeevi but Chiranjeevi missed the blockbuster which went to Rajinikanth. During 1994, On Chiranjeevi's birthday, Big Boss was launched. Expectations were high on this project as Chiranjeevi and Bapineedu earlier came up with the film Gang Leader.
At one time, Chiranjeevi's Big Boss and Rajinkanth's Basha were shooting at the same studio. During that time rumours spread that both the films had similar line. At that time, Suresh Krishna met Chiranjeevi and narrated the Basha story. Allu Aravind who was present loved the story to the core.
He started discussions for the remake rights of the film. They demanded Rs 40crs and Allu Aravind asked them to reduce it to Rs 25crs. They couldn't strike a deal due to Rs 15crs. The film turned out to be a blockbuster in Tamil and it was released in Telugu and created a sensation.
