Michael is holding strong at the Indian box office even on weekdays. The film has now collected ₹21.15 crore net in India, and the gross is around ₹25.31 crore. Day 5 gave the film a small boost everywhere, which shows it still has steady audience support. Trade trackers say the word of mouth is helping it stay stable despite big Bollywood releases around it.
On Tuesday, Michael did better than Dhurandhar 2, which made about ₹1.35 crore for the day. Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla is still leading the daily charts with roughly ₹4.35 crore, but Michael managed to stay in the race. Fans on X and sites like Sacnilk noted that Michael saw growth even on a working day, while many films usually drop. The English film’s performance is being called solid for a Hollywood biopic in India.
Michael has also hit a big milestone. It has gone past Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, which had collected around ₹23 crore in India. With that, Michael is now the highest grossing Hollywood release in India for April. Box office pages on Instagram and Koimoi reports mention that this is a good sign, because April usually sees tough competition from local films and IPL season.
The film has two more days to finish its first week, and the real test comes this Friday. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is releasing on May 1 and that could split the audience. Still, if Michael keeps this pace, it might add more before the new releases take over. Many trade analysts feel it has already done its job by becoming April’s top Hollywood grosser in India.
