Payal Rajput could not hold back her tears at the trailer launch of new film First Time 01-01-01 on Tuesday. The event in Hyderabad was supposed to be about the film, but it turned into a very emotional moment. Payal, who became popular with RX 100 and Venky Mama, broke down on stage while talking about her father. The room went completely silent as she shared her pain. The film is directed by Hemanth Ippanapalli and it also marks Saurabh Dhingra’s debut as an actor.
When someone asked her about anxiety and mental health, Payal opened up about the toughest phase of her life. She said she did a Vipassana meditation course in Jaipur around seven to eight months ago. That was the same time her father was diagnosed with cancer. She called it the most devastating period and said she felt lost and broken. She told the media that she did not know how to console her mother or even herself during those days.
Payal said her father was the hero of her life and losing him left a huge void. She shared that he fought hard but passed away after battling the illness. As she kept talking about him, she got too emotional and started crying on stage before stepping away.
